If Not Now, When?

I used to say “I have some ideas.” I always used to have “plans” to do things. To travel, to build businesses, to write. But I also used to have a lot of excuses.

Don’t have time.
Don’t know what to do.
Don’t know where to start.
Somebody else is already doing it.
It’s expensive.

But now? Now when faced we these things I answer this question: If not now, when?

If I don’t have time now, when can I make time?
If I don’t know what to do, how can I figure that out fast!
If I don’t know where to start, just start.
If somebody else is already doing it, do it anyway.
If it’s too expensive, figure out way to make it less expensive OR figure out a way to find the money.
IF-NOT-NOW-WHEN

Do you have something you want to get done? An idea, a book, a trip, a goal? If not now, when?
If not today, then put it on the calendar and do it. Because the truth the “If not now, when?” question tells is that you can’t run. It takes away the room for excuses. It’s a reminder that we have today to do our work. Tomorrow is for tomorrow’s work.

Today is what we have. There’s always going to be excuses but now means today. And if not today, then when?

Happy Friday, Er’body!

Chris
